10 Cloverfield Lane
10 Cloverfield Lane is described as a "blood relative" to Cloverfield which was a film about aliens arriving in New York and getting all up in everyone's business.
10 Cloverfield Lane is 90% of a good drama about people in a survival shelter after an incident has or hasn't happened. John Goodman is superb as Howard, the shelter owner, who from the start has issues and over time you begin to see how major they are.
The problem I had was with the last 15 minutes or so which just didn't go with the rest of the film. It was all a bit jarring for me, it seemed tacked onto the end of the film when they decided to change it to be a Cloverfield film. Still apart from that it was pretty good.
